CLINICAL SERVICES ADVISER – MIDWIFERY SERVICES & SUPERVISION
Coffey International Development in cooperation with the Nossal Institute for Global Health and GTZ International Services is managing the AusAID funded Australia Indonesia Partnership for Maternal and Neonatal Health Program which is an initiative to assist the Indonesian government to implement the National Making Pregnancy Safer Strategies in selected provinces and districts and improving public administration in the health sector. We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the following roles:
BLOOD AND LABORATORY SYSTEM SPECIALIST COFF-1287
In this role, your key focus will be building the capacity of the Partners to undertake analysis, planning, development of a Plan of Action for improvement of laboratory and blood systems for MNH services specific to Basic (PONED) and comprehensive (PONEK) emergency obstetric and neonatal clinical services. You will provide technical guidance and support to Partners to Implement the Plan of Action for the Improvement of laboratory and blood systems for emergency MNH Clinical Services for AIPMNH districts in NTT.
The Blood and Laboratory System Specialist will require a Degree, or appropriate qualifications in medicine, pathology or related field. You will have substantial experience in medical health services and blood systems management and recent experience in clinical services support. The role also requires experience in quality assurance processes and supervision; capacity building and working with communities government and technical health sectors in Indonesia.
CLINICAL SERVICES ADVISER – MIDWIFRERY SERVICES & SUPERVISION COFF – 1286
Your role will be focusing on improving the capacity of Provincial Health Office and District Health Office staff to Improve the quality of the standard operational procedure (SOP) and training materials for antenatal care (ANC) and postnatal care (PNC), the Birth Planning and Preparedness Program (P41i malaria detection and prevention; and Improved facilitative supervision related to the Implementation of the SOP for ANC and PNC and emergency MNH services (PONED and PONEK).
The Clinical Services Adviser – Midwifery Services & Supervision will require a Degree, Diploma or appropriate qualifications in midwifery, medicine, midwifery education, or related field. You will have Substantial experience in maternal neonatal health and recent experience in midwifery services, standards (SPM). The roles also require experience in quality assurance processes and supervision techniques; capacity building and working with Communities, government and technical health sectors in Indonesia.
A solid knowledge and understanding of Government of Indonesia (Gol) systems and approaches and AusAID policies particularly in relation to gender, disability and HIV and AIDS is desirable. You will have sound knowledge of analysis, planning and management, training and supervision and how it applies in the workplace; demonstrated experience working in the Indonesian government health sector and English proficiency in both written and spoken English. The ideal candidate will have a track record in working effectively in a team from varied cultures and professional backgrounds; high level of negotiation skills and problem identification and resolution; excellent interpersonal communication and report writing skills; be able to engage with and build relationships with government agencies.
