Petrochina Intl. Jabung Ltd., an International Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company has the following position open for immediate engagement:

Communication Supervisor II

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy scalable Layer 2 and Layer 3 network architectures for onshore, offshore, and remote operations.
• Maintain and monitor the performance of all communication systems to ensure continuous operations.
• Conduct studies and make recommendations for improvements or additions to telecommunication facilities.
• Implement network security measures to protect against external threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint protection.
• Proactively troubleshoot and resolve network issues to minimize downtime.
• Support integration between the corporate IT network and operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA and DCS.
• Directly monitor, install, and maintain voice/data communication systems.
• Directly monitor, set up configurations, and maintain PABX, radio communication, radio links, SCADA radio links, data networking systems, and related components.
• Directly maintain the performance of voice/data access via VSAT communication links to support drilling rig operations.
• Update and maintain administrative data for all radio licenses related to Kominfo regulations.
• Promote HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) awareness within the team to ensure compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations on occupational health, safety, and the environment, in accordance with Indonesian and/or international oil & gas industry standards, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and Safety Management Systems mandated by the Indonesian Government.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or equivalent.
• 5-8 years of experience in network engineering.
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining industrial networks for remote and offshore environments.Additional Qualifications:
• Proficiency in managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar network devices.
• Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Modbus, HART, and OPC.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, MPLS, SD-WAN, and wireless communication.
• Familiarity with SCADA, DCS, and other industrial control systems.
• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
• CCNA/CCNP or equivalent certification is required;
• Additional certifications such as CISSP, ISA/IEC 62443, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
