PT. Putri Naga Komodo (PNK) is a non-profit joint venture company of an International Conservation NGO and Indonesian Entity that has acquired a license from the Ministry of Forestry to generate park revenue through the development and management of nature tourism in Komodo National Park (KNP). The company will be working, through a collaborative management approach with the KNP authority and other key stakeholders. This initiative is co-founded by World Bank’s Global Environmental Facility.
We are looking for high potential persons to fill the following position:
Tourism Operations Manager – (based in Labuan Bajo)
Responsible to manage and develop a commercially viable ecotourism operation and guide socially and environmentally responsible tourism development in a remote location in Eastern Indonesia. Facilities and services include a restaurant, retail outlet and trekking-based tours than incorporate the unique conservation values of the location. Include the management of an entrance fee, recycling, energy efficiency, water conservation and creation of economic opportunities for local communities, while also monitoring the environmental impact of tourism.
Qualifications: should have minimum S1 degree with at least 5 years experience in tourism-related business development and management and be familiar with issues of ecotourism, eco-technology and innovative, environmentally sustainable tourism implementation.
